The Poem of the Man-God (Italian title: Il Poema dell'Uomo-Dio) is a multi-volume book of about five thousand pages on the life of Jesus Christ written by Maria Valtorta. It is based on the over 15,000 handwritten pages produced by Maria Valtorta between 1943 and 1947.
The reason why the picture is named son of man and why the apple is there is probably because of a type of biblical reference. The green apple shows that no matter how we live our life, even if we become as successful as the tall man that’s well-dressed in the picture and is standing in a very chill atmosphere, it means that we still need to grow further and further, and when we are old, that’s where our fruits will ripen towards our satisfaction. in savoring it (much like how an apple is best eaten when it’s fully red) . The Son of Man is a self-portrait painting by Rene Magritte. If you look closely, you can see his eyes peeking out between the apple and its leaves. The Son of Man is a simple yet striking painting.
So he calls himself Son of Man very often. I think the reason he did so is because, on the face of it, Son of Man is an ordinary phrase for "human being. He was born of a man. And there's no offense there: who isn't a son of man?
By becoming a man, Jesus did not cease being God. The incarnation of Christ did not involve the subtraction of deity, but the addition of humanity. Jesus clearly claimed to be God on many occasions (Matthew 16:16,17; John 8:58; 10:30). But in addition to being divine, He was also human (see Philippians 2:6-8). He had two natures (divine and human) conjoined in one person. Further, Scripture indicates that Jesus was not denying His deity by referring to Himself as the Son of Man. In fact, it is highly revealing that the term Son of Man is used in Scripture in contexts of Christ's deity.
The Son of Man is a Belgian surrealist painting. It was painted in 1964 by René Magritte. The painting was originally intended to be a self-portrait. The painting conveys a man in an overcoat wearing a bowler hat and standing in front of a short wall. Behind this short wall are a cloudy sky and the sea. You cannot see the face of the man, since it is largely obscured by a floating green apple. However, you can see the eyes of the man as they are peeking over the edge of the apple.
