Although the Triumph album notes list Time Waits for No One as being written by Jackie and Randy Jackson, the extent to which Michael Jackson influenced the composition of the song, or was influenced by some of the background vocal gigs he took during this period, remains unknown. What can easily be argued, however, is that as a ballad, Time Waits for No One feels much more like the largely soft-rock-like material in Michael Jackson’s background work for Loggins, Carole Bayer Sager, and Dave Mason, than like the Jacksons' more Philly-influenced earlier ballads (.
Time Waits for No One" is a song by English rock band the Rolling Stones from the 1974 album It's Only Rock 'n Roll. It was the first song recorded for the album. The track features a distinctive groove that has been compared to the later song "Waiting on a Friend" (recording of which in fact started in late 1972).
Triumph is the fourteenth studio album by the Jacksons, released in 1980 on Epic Records. It was certified platinum in the . and peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. The Triumph album sold three million copies in its original run. Hit singles from the album were "Lovely One", "Heartbreak Hotel" (which was renamed "This Place Hotel" to avoid confusion with the Elvis Presley song of the same name) and "Can You Feel It".

See Freddie Mercury Belt ‘Time Waits for No One’ in Unreleased New Solo Clip. Dave Clark, of the Dave Clark Five, helped pen the song for a musical and has now stripped it down to just the Queen singer’s stunning voice and piano. The new version features only Mercury’s voice and piano played by Mike Moran, who went on to accompany the Queen singer on his Barcelona solo album. Mercury’s voice starts smooth and scrunches and contorts into rougher sounds as he sings lines like, We’ve got to build this world together or we might have no future at all, because time waits for nobody. The stripped-back arrangement shines a spotlight on his vocal acrobatics in a way that was lost in the original, and it’s Mercury’s already well-recognized talent that Clark hopes people hear in the new recording.
A dramatic, previously unheard version of the Freddie Mercury ballad "Time," re-titled "Time Waits For No One," was released on Thursday morning (June 20). The moving track from the late Queen frontman was recorded in 1986 for a concept album inspired by the British musical Time, which featured Sir Laurence Olivier and British pop icon Cliff Richard
We might as well be deaf and dumb and blind I know that sounds unkind But it seems to me we've not listened to Or spoken about it at all The fact that time is running out for us all. Time, waits for nobody Time, waits for no-one We've got to build this world together Or we'll have no more future at all Because time - it waits for nobody Nobody. You don't need me to tell you What's gone wrong You know what's going on But it seems to me we've not cared enough Or confided in each other at all It seems that we've all got our backs Against the wall
