Released in some European territories, this legitimate package combines Mobb Deep's second and third albums: The Infamous (1995) and Hell on Earth (1996). It's a straightforward bundling that consists of two of the duo's best albums. It's simply a convenient way to obtain two mid-'90s hardcore rap classics. Track Listing - Disc 1.

Following the release of The Infamous, Mobb Deep became some of the most prolific artists of the East Coast, the production of this album was very dark and sample-based thanks to Havoc, who produced the beats from this point forward. Furthermore, the hit single Shook Ones Pt. II, a remix to the hit Shook Ones, jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, and fellow Queensbridge rapper Nas. Nas as well as Method Man and Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan appear on Hell on Earth

Mobb Deep’s second studio album, The Infamous, defined the New York hardcore hip-hop sound with tracks like Shook Ones, Pt. II and Survival of the Fittest solidifying its influence for decades to come. Being almost entirely produced by group member Havoc, the album became the soundtrack for the streets with its dark soundscapes and menacing beats: We had to look deep inside our soul and create some shit that stood the test of time. We had to shake the world up-that made us try harder than ever before. Not only that, we didn’t have the money to afford the producers that we wanted. It was kind of embarrassing for us. We thought we knew what we were doing. Bought our gold chains and gold teeth. We got on TV. We was like, ‘We doing i. But then we got a reality check and got dropped.

In 1994, Queensbridge hip hop duo Mobb Deep released The Infamous, one of the most quintessential albums of the genre that decade. With its outright dreary boom-bap instrumentals and rugged lyricism, Prodigy and Havoc expose the true reality of the ghettos of New York City. Throughout its runtime, the listener is held hostage on a tour through the slums of the city. Two years late, the group returned to the rap scene with 1996’s Hell on Earth to once again reveal the atrocities of the.

You see, Mobb Deep and many other hip-hop artists like them demand respect, in a similar way that a Mob would. These beats are very demanding themselves, demanding of your ears and your mind - much like respect demands your ears, and your mind. Hell on Earth is as good as The Infamous, maybe even better. Havoc did a fucking great production on this thing. Prodigy's rhymes were the best ever. There is no tracks on it that I feel like skipping. One of the best, if not the best hardcore hip hop album ever. InHumanForm April 1st 2010.
