Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Trouble download free

A sense of fun pervades Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs' debut, TROUBLE. From the Afro-pop flavor of "Promises" to the synth-pop of the title track, this album is aimed at dancefloor pleasure. If anything, it's the merging of earnest indie-pop vocals with poppy EDM that helps them stand out. "Shimmer" pushes up the BPMs, while "Your Love" pushes the house elements with some diva vocals. But the swooning "Panpipes" and "Closer" bring a dreamier element to the fore. Indeed, there seems to be this dichotomy between more personal and intimate music and straight up bangers. Luisa Gerstein's lyrics on "Garden" offer a nice counterpoint to Orlando's oftentimes affectless delivery, while "American Dream Part II" goes whole-heartedly towards the dancefloor. Though this back-and-forth never really comes to a satisfying conclusion, it might just be enough to be able to dance to it!

Really sucks that two of the album's best tracks aren't on the vinyl. Totally unnecessary, too, as it's a double LP and they'd easily have fitted.
