Gratitude is a double album by the band Earth, Wind & Fire issued in November 1975 by Columbia Records. The album rose to No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top Soul Albums charts. Gratitude has also been certified Triple Platinum in the US by the RIAA. Gratitude spent six weeks atop the Billboard Top Soul Albums chart and three weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart. The LP consists of mostly live concert material together with some newly recorded tracks

Gratitude is a live album by the band Earth, Wind & Fire. It was released in December 1975 (see 1975 in music), and re-issued on May 9, 2000 (see 2000 in music). 3/4 of the album is live and the other 1/4 is recorded in the studio.
Earth, Wind & Fire were consolidating their jazz influences into a tighter meld of funk and rock when Gratitude appeared near the end of 1975. Still, the improvisatory spirit burns hard on the three-quarters of the set taken from concert performances in the wake of That's the Way of the World's success. I have heard some of these songs but only on a vinyl album or radio. I can imagine though that it must sound good on a regular CD, (if engineered/mastered properly). For those of you who are not as familiar with SACD's, try to think of it as high n music.
