One Way Ticket" is the lead single from British rock band The Darkness' second studio album, One Way Ticket to Hell. It reached number eight on the UK Singles Chart. Its lyrics explicitly deal with cocaine use and addiction. The song contains frequent references to taking and being on cocaine, one of the reasons Justin Hawkins was admitted to rehab.

Album One Way Ticket to Hell. One Way Ticket (Clean Version) Lyrics. It was a dusty old night And I'm the first to admit it I'm sure I upset someone But my memory has chosen to omit it. A tiny voice telling me I really should cool it Chewing my face off Talking absolute rubbish. The first line hit me like a kick in the face I thought I better have another one just in case Next thing I knew my heart was under attack And bought a one way ticket to hell And back. Burn for a moment then you kick like a mule Strangers are agreeing that it was rocket fuel Several lines are chocking like a glorious game And bought a one way ticket to hell And back. Stick it up your nose Holy coke, repeating myself, except I'm getting slightly louder Pausing just long enough to snort that white powder Wheels steering off but I'm still on track And bought a one way ticket to hell And back.
The song "One Way Ticket" is the best song about cocaine ever written and a possible successor for "I Believe in a Thing Called Love. You won't be able to get the chorus from "Knockers" out of your head and songs 3 and 4 are awesome.
Many of One Way Ticket's songs have the common second-album curse of being too closely related to siblings from the debut, and tracks that explore new territory come off undercooked ("Hazel Eyes") or overripe ("Bald"). The material also suffers from a comparative lack of humor; nothing here is so amusing as "Friday Night" or "Growing on Me", unless you count the no less than three follicle-obsessed tracks present, perhaps a sly reference to their pigeon-holing as hair-metal practitioners.
One Way Ticket – Fantastic opening riff, and top notch singing. If the solo was played on guitar rather than sitar, I would have enjoyed this opening track a whole lot more, but the slightly Arabian-feel of the track wa. efreshing. 6. Hazel Eyes – Now this has to be the best track on the album. This is The Darkness on top form. Hazel Eyes has a fairly long intro that sets the mood. This track has very Celtic overtones, with synths and bagpipes (I kno.
