Let Me Rock You is the third solo studio album released by American musician and former Kiss drummer Peter Criss. Due to poor sales for his previous album, Out of Control, Let Me Rock You was not released in the United States until 1998, when it was reissued on CD. The album was produced by Vini Poncia, who previously produced Criss's 1978 solo album (officially released as a Kiss album). Let Me Rock You features the song "Feels Like Heaven", written by Criss's former bandmate, Gene Simmons.

Out of Control has several okay to above average songs. What it doesn't have is a "Beth," "Hard Luck Woman" or other song that could've gotten strong radio airplay. The album's title track is possibly the best song on the whole album, but it there were tons of bands putting out material just like it in 1980, so had it been issued as a single, it might've gotten lost in the shuffle anyway. The one song which was issued as a single, "I Found Love," is limp even for a ballad, and lacks a good hook to carry it higher. The other issue is that while.

Peter Criss is a 1978 solo album by Peter Criss, the drummer of American hard rock band Kiss. It was one of four solo albums released by the members of Kiss on September 18, 1978. The album was produced by Vini Poncia, who went on to produce the Kiss albums Dynasty (1979) and Unmasked (1980). Criss covered "Tossin' and Turnin'", which was a hit for Bobby Lewis in the . during the summer of 1961. The song was subsequently covered by Kiss on their 1979 tour. Much of the material on the album was originally written in 1971 for Criss's pre-Kiss band Lips. He would also adopt a more idiosyncratic singing style reminiscent of fellow Texas honky-tonk legend Lefty Frizzell. Out of Control" laid the foundation for this new vocal approach. As Rich Kienzle notes in the 1994 Sony retrospective The Essential George Jones: The Spirit of Country, "He changed the volume of his voice or swooped from a deep bass to a high treble to accentuate a phrase or lyric.

Out of Control (1980). Singles from Peter Criss. Don't You Let Me Down" Released: 1978. You Matter to Me" Released: 1978. The album was the lowest charting of all the Kiss solo albums of 1978, reaching on the US Billboard album chart. Of the four solo albums, Peter Criss was the only album to have two singles released from it: "Don't You Let Me Down" and "You Matter to Me", neither of which charted. All songs written by Peter Criss and Stan Penridge, except where noted.

Criss was involved with a number of bands throughout the mid-to-late 1960s. It was during this time that Criss joined Chelsea, who had a two-album deal with Decca Records; the group released a self-titled album in 1970. They never recorded a second album, and in August 1971 became Lips (a trio consisting of Criss and his Chelsea bandmates Michael Benvenga and Stan Penridge). By the spring of 1972, Lips was just the duo of Criss and Penridge. In 1973, Pete Shepley and Mike Brand recorded an unreleased album which included post-Chelsea Michael Benvenga, and pre-Kiss Peter Criss and Gene Simmons.
